Forgiveness is at the heart of the gospel of Jesus Christ. If we truly desire to follow Him, we must learn to forgive—not only as an act of mercy, but as a way to unlock spiritual healing, peace, and freedom.

In the October 2023 General Conference, Elder Gerrit W. Gong said:

“In exercising faith in Jesus Christ, we allow His Atonement to work in us. We forgive others. We seek forgiveness for ourselves. We forgive ourselves.”
(Love Is Spoken Here, October 2023)

Following Jesus Christ means choosing to forgive, even when it’s hard. It’s letting go of resentment, choosing love over bitterness, and trusting that the Savior will make all things right.

In real life, this may look like a wife choosing to let go of years of silent hurt, a ward member releasing judgment toward another, or a Relief Society sister courageously sharing a personal story of forgiveness that helps heal someone else’s heart.

As we prepare and teach Relief Society General Conference lessons, forgiveness becomes a powerful topic that invites the Spirit and promotes Christlike unity. Our small business offers inspired Relief Society Lesson Outlines, General Conference Teaching Helps, and thoughtful prompts that make it easier to teach these sacred principles in a meaningful, Spirit-filled way.

When we forgive, we don’t excuse the wrong—we choose the higher path. We choose Jesus Christ.
